Booking Process and Location.

A Face Painter artist based in Ware, Hertfordshire – I’m happy to travel to surrounding areas and London, just let me know at liss@designaface.com when and where your wonderful event will be hosted and I will come back to you with available rates, depending on the number of guess, the type of event and the requirement of tailored and bespoke face painting designs.

Booking fee and contract / Cancellations.

I will send a contract and request a non refundable booking fee to secure your date and time. Your time slot is secured after payment has been received. Cancellations terms will be sent on the invoice / contract.

Just the best paints! We love painting our customers with the best quality hypoallergenic face painting brands. Design’a Face has a huge selection of colours and always endeavours to have the latest colour combinations available on the market for an incredible face painting experience. We only use products that comply with EU cosmetic regulations and have been designed for professional use.
We only use Face paints products that comply with FDA and EU regulations.

Clean fresh sponge for every face! I comply with the highest standards of  health and hygiene, always using a clean fresh sponge for every person to avoid bacterial / virus contamination.  If colour is apply to the lips is always done with a disposable lipstick wand, dipping it only once on the paint and immediately disposed after used, never used again! Brushes and sponges are cleaned regularly with antibacterial soap as well as our Face painting product having antimicrobial preservatives on them which inhibits bacterial growth.

Cosmetic Glitter. We have a large collection of glitters in all sizes, types and colours to make your event super sparkly!

We use ONLY cosmetic grade glitter which is made of special non-toxic plastic  with rounded edges and much finer than craft glitter which makes it safe to use on the skin.  We do NOT use craft glitter, as this is extremely dangerous for the eyes having sharp hexagonal edges usually made of metal or glass. When getting face painted (even if not by me, sniff sniff) please make sure cosmetic glitter is used for the safety of your eyes and skin.

Insurance. No worries, Design’a Face holds Public Liability Insurance.  (Proof of insurance is available upon request.)

Sensitive Skin. Our face paints are specially formulated to be use on the most delicate skin. However, for customers with sensitive skin, we offer a prior patch test to determined if is safe to procede with the face painting experience. If a reaction do not occurred after 15 minutes, it is possible to continue at the discretion of the artist and the customer. Design’a Face do not accept liability for any subsequence reaction / irritation. You must let us know about such sensitive or allergic conditions prior getting face painted.

Under 3 years old. We do not offer face painting for children under 3 years of age, for our youngest costumers we offer a little design on the check, hands or arm at the discretion of the artist.

Face paint removal.  As face painting products are water based, removing them is super easy with just soap and warm water. Some colours are more highly pigmented than others and may leave a slight tint on the skin, for this we recommend a second wash with soap and water and applying a small amount of coconut oil. We do not recommend using baby wipes as these could cause skin irritation.

Refused to be face painted? I’m so sorry, in some occasions we have to refuse to paint a costumer to avoid cross contamination. Unfortunately we can not paint anyone that presents with contagious skin condition that could put at risk the health of other costumers, examples of these (but not limited to) are: open wounds, broken skin, cold sores, conjunctivitis, lice, chicken pox, ringworm or any indication of infection on the skin. We could however, offer a design on an unaffected area but this is at the artist discretion, every case is individual.
